“We have a varied and informative day planned comprising of demos, live music plus a prize draw which everyone attending can be entered into.
“We are delighted to be joined by representatives from Buffet and Vandoren who will be bringing their entire range of Clarinets, Saxophone and relevant accessories.
“As you probably know it is a rarity to find Buffet’s complete range of instruments from Eb and Alto Clarinets to their Bass Clarinets in one shop together for you to try. Vandoren will also be bringing their complete range of mouthpieces and ligatures, again for you try and purchase.
“This is a great opportunity for you to get advice, a FREE instrument ‘health check’ and also to try out alternative reeds, mouthpieces and ligatures which are not usually readily available.
“The event runs from 10am to 4pm and as Dolphin Music are always looking for new activities to involve musicians there will also be Live music provided by local Clarinet Ensemble Muted Jazz.

The Triola is a colourful introduction to music for children. So easy to play – just press the coloured keys the same as shown with the corresponding notes for your favourite nursery rhymes and children’s songs. Children learn to read music through play.
Technical Information
The Triola is a handmade and hand tuned single tone wind harmonica, designed to teach children from 3 years and above.

With 12 notes from G to D. It is 26.4cm in length.
It works by simply blowing into the instrument and pressing the coloured keys. The coloured keys correspond with the coloured notes on the music designed for you especially by Triola.org
All our instruments are made in Klingenthal, Germany at the Seydel factory, which has been in operation since 1847.

Linda Chatterton, a noted Yamaha Flute Artist, was recently chosen to receive her second McKnight Fellowship. Awarded to the elite of the music performance world, the McKnight Fellowship recognizes and supports outstanding Minnesota performing musicians.

The $25,000 award is administered by the MacPhail Center for Music and is awarded based on performance excellence. The only flutist to win two McKnight Fellowships, Ms. Chatterton has garnered prizes and awards from the Jerome Foundation and the American Composers Forum.
Chatterton has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. She has performed in New York at Carnegie and Alice Tully Halls, was a featured recitalist on the prestigious Dame Myra Hess series in Chicago, and has been heard on National Public Radio.
Ms. Chatterton has performed with numerous groups including the Minnesota Orchestra and the Dale Warland Singers. Additionally, she tours regularly as a duo performer with both harp and piano. In addition to her concert schedule, Ms. Chatterton retains an active studio where she teaches a wide range of students including those who request professional coaching.
She is highly regarded for her insightful master classes, and she serves as a mentor to music students at the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts. She has recorded on the CBS Masterworks, Innova, and Gothic labels, and has also independently released four compact disc recordings; upcoming releases include a CD of contemporary American music for flute and piano.
